Start-up of the forklift business
Originally the domestic lift truck market in Korea was an open import enterprise. Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. began in 1960, to import fully assembled lift trucks as part of a domestic equipment expansion project. Sales of these goods were originally targeted to state-run firms, large scale corporations, and the military. This ultimately led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced trade operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift production plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical instruction grew to become the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
Propane forklift efficiency is relatively impressive because the cylinders containing propane could easily be replaced and the machinery could get back to work without losing much "downtime". It is unlike the electric forklift where spare batteries have to be acquired to be utilized while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
For the reason that the propane forklift has a sealed fuel system, it is much safer to operate than the different types of lift trucks available. The propane fuel cylinders themselves follow strict national code specialization and are sealed to guarantee optimum safety. Propane gas also functions with less energy compared to CNG gas, thus, if any accident takes place, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This significantly lessens the possible danger and damage that can take place. Refilling options are even beneficial for the operator. If they will rather refuel somewhere else, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling can be done on site instead.
